Fencing Questions
What types of fencing do you install?
We install Wood Privacy, Tan & White Vinyl privacy fencing, and Aluminum 4' & 5' three rail fencing.
How long does a fence installation take?
Most residential fence installations are completed in 1–2 days depending on the size of the project and the material. A typical backyard privacy fence (150–200 linear feet) is usually finished in 1 day. Larger properties or custom designs may take 2–3 days.
How long will my fence last?
Lifespan depends on the material: pressure-treated wood fences typically last 15–20 years with proper maintenance, vinyl fencing lasts 25–30+ years with virtually no maintenance, and aluminum fencing can last 30–50 years. Tennessee's climate (hot summers, occasional ice) is factored into our material recommendations.
Will you remove my old fence?
Yes. We offer old fence removal and disposal as part of our installation service. We'll remove the existing fence, pull the old posts, and haul away all debris before beginning your new installation.
Can you install a fence on a slope or uneven ground?
Absolutely. We install fences on all terrain types including hills, slopes, and uneven ground. We use techniques like racking (angling panels to follow the slope) or stepping (stair-stepping panels down the grade) depending on the style and your preference.
Concrete Questions
What concrete services do you offer?
We provide driveway expansions, patios and patio extensions, walkway and sidewalk installation, shed and garage slabs, and small retaining walls.
How thick should my concrete driveway be?
Standard residential concrete is poured at 4 inches thick with a compacted gravel base with rebar or wire mesh reinforcement. We'll assess your specific needs during the free estimate.
How long does concrete take to cure?
Concrete reaches initial set within 24–48 hours (you can walk on it), is strong enough for vehicle traffic in about 7 days, and reaches full strength (4,000 PSI) at 28 days. We'll provide clear aftercare instructions including watering schedules to ensure optimal curing, especially during Tennessee's hot summers.
Do you offer stamped or decorative concrete?
Yes! We offer a full range of decorative finishes including stamped patterns (flagstone, slate, brick, wood plank), integral color, acid staining, and exposed aggregate. Stamped concrete is an excellent way to achieve the look of natural stone or pavers at a fraction of the cost.
What causes concrete to crack, and can it be prevented?
Some hairline cracking is normal as concrete cures and contracts. We minimize cracking by using proper control joints (saw-cut lines), adequate base preparation, rebar/wire mesh reinforcement, correct water-to-cement ratios, and proper curing techniques. Clarksville's freeze-thaw cycles make these steps especially important.
Process & Pricing
What is your typical project timeline from estimate to completion?
After your free consultation, we deliver a written quote within 24 hours. Once approved, most projects are scheduled within 1–3 weeks depending on the season. Fence installations typically take 1–2 days; concrete projects take 1–5 days for the pour, plus 7 days before full use. Spring and summer are our busiest seasons, so booking early is recommended.
Do you provide a warranty on your work?
Yes. We stand behind our craftsmanship with a 1 year workmanship warranty on all installations.
